Hey, whattup? As you can probably tell from our name, we are a bunch of Engineers turned Rockers. With our Melodic Alternative Hard Rock, or Sock Rock as we like to call it, we generally attract crowds old and young alike. But Moment of Inertia is not just another rock band from the Midwest, we like to think of ourselves as a rope of hope, woven to pull Flint at last from the bowels of Michael Moore infamy.

We originally began MOI as an exercise in Rock Engineering, an escape from the daily monotony of a male-dominated engineering university. However, the immediate reaction and popularity of the band has taken us all quite by surprise. We figured we were on to something when our second live performance ever resulted in winning the Sugar and Adrenaline Battle of the Bands, put on by WKUF 94.3fm and sponsored by Guitar Center. And we won against 4 other [really good] bands which have all been playing the Lansing/Flint/Detroit scene with some degree of success for several years.

We've come a long way since then, thanks to the support of our fans, friends, and family. And it's for you guys that we just recently went back to the studio to record our first full-length EP which will debut later this year.
